Mobile app development

We build iOS and Android apps from a single codebase and run the process from design through to store release — while the App Store and Google Play accounts stay yours.

  • iOS
  • Android
  • Flutter
  • React Native
  • Desktop
  • Push notifications
  • Store release
Scope

One codebase, two stores

Writing separate native apps for iOS and Android doubles both the cost and the timeline. With Flutter or React Native we ship to both platforms from one codebase, and the result is indistinguishable from native in look and performance.

If the app needs a server and database behind it, we build that too — user accounts, data sync, notifications and an admin panel included. You won't end up managing the app in one place and its content somewhere else.

  • Sign-up and login (email, phone, Google, Sign in with Apple)
  • Push notification infrastructure
  • Offline mode and data synchronisation
  • In-app purchases or subscriptions
  • Device features: maps, location, camera, QR scanning
  • Admin panel to manage content and users from the web
  • App Store and Google Play submission, store artwork and copy
  • Crash reporting and usage analytics
Stores ASO

Being found in the app stores too

App stores are search engines in their own right. At release we optimise the store listing as well: the right category, a title and description carrying the terms people search for, screenshots and a promotional text. We also add a page for the app on your website, marked up with SoftwareApplication structured data, so it surfaces in Google search as well.

FAQ 5 questions

Mobile app questions

Whose name are the store accounts in?
Yours. We guide you through opening them, and the app is published from your developer account. Apple's annual developer fee and Google's one-off registration fee are yours.
Should I build an app or a website?
If customers come to you once, a website is usually enough. An app makes sense when people log in repeatedly, need notifications, or you need the phone's camera or location. If you're not sure, we'll work it out together — and we'll say so if you don't need one.
How long does store approval take?
Google Play typically takes hours to a couple of days; Apple's App Store a few days. If a submission is rejected, fixing and resubmitting is on us at no extra charge.
Can features be added later?
Yes — apps grow release by release. We recommend shipping the smallest useful version first and building on real feedback, so nothing gets written for nothing.
Do you build desktop applications?
Yes, Windows desktop apps too. They often come out of the same codebase, and are a common choice for in-office stock, till or production tracking.
