3D design and modeling

We model parts to real dimensions and hand over files that are ready for a 3D printer or a workshop. If you want, the same model goes on your website for visitors to spin and inspect.

Scope

If it has dimensions, we can model it

We start from how many millimetres the part has to be, not from how it should look. The model is built parametrically: change one dimension and everything tied to it updates by itself, with no redrawing.

You get whatever output you need — STL for the printer, STEP for the workshop, or a dimensioned technical drawing for the manufacturer. If the part has several components we build the assembly too, so you can see whether it actually fits before anything is produced.

  • Part and product modeling — parametric, dimensions stay editable
  • Assemblies: fit between components and motion checks
  • STL for 3D printing, STEP for manufacturing and CNC
  • Dimensioned technical drawings (PDF)
  • Re-modeling an existing part from measurements
  • Enclosures, brackets, jigs, moulds, signage
  • Renders for product imagery
Web 3D three.js

Put the model on your site

We embed the model with three.js: visitors spin and zoom the product with a finger and see the side a photo never shows. It works on phones too, with no app to install.

One step further is a configurator: the visitor picks colour, material, size or component options, the product updates instantly, and their combination is written into the quote form. Combined with an online store it can go straight to the cart.

Limits honestly

What we don’t do

Our 3D is dimension-driven: parts, products, mechanical design. Character and organic modeling, animation, cinematic rendering and architectural visualisation are not our field. If someone asks for one of those we say so up front and point them elsewhere where we can.

We put this in writing because taking on the wrong job wastes everyone’s time. If you are not sure which side your job falls on, call — looking costs nothing.

FAQ 4 questions

Common questions about 3D design

I have no drawing, just an idea. Is that enough?
It is. We talk through where the part will be used, what dimensions it has to fit, and what it will be made from. You get a rough first model and we refine it together from there.
Do you print the parts as well?
We do not offer printing; we hand over a print-ready model with wall thickness, support needs and tolerances already considered. We can point you to printers we work with.
Can you model a part I already have?
Yes. Caliper measurements and a few clear photos are enough for most parts. For complex surfaces we look first and tell you honestly whether it is feasible.
Do I get the model files?
You do. Both the source file and the exports are transferred to you on delivery, so you can take the work to anyone else later.
